
HONEY-GLAZED BAKED HAM RECIPE
Honey-Glazed Baked Ham
Ingredients
Ham

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (7–10 lbs)

Whole cloves (optional, for studding)
Honey Glaze

1 cup honey
-
½ cup brown sugar
-
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or orange juice)

2 tbsp butter
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
½ tsp ground cloves or allspice
-
Optional: 2–3 tbsp bourbon or apple cider for richer flavor
Instructions
1. Prep the Ham

Heat oven to 325°F (165°C).

Place ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.

Score the surface in a diamond pattern if desired.

Insert whole cloves into the intersections if using.
2. Make the Honey Glaze

In a saucepan, combine: honey, brown sugar, Dijon, vinegar (or orange juice), butter, cinnamon, and cloves.

Warm over medium heat until fully melted and glossy (about 3–5 minutes).

Remove from heat.
3. Bake the Ham

Brush the ham generously with the glaze.

Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Remove foil, baste again, and continue baking 30–60 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.

Cook until internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) and the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
4. Rest & Serve
Let the ham rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Extra Flavor Ideas (Optional)

Pineapple Honey Glaze: Add ½ cup pineapple juice.

Maple Honey Glaze: Replace ¼ cup honey with maple syrup.

Spicy Honey Glaze: Add ½–1 tsp crushed red pepper or a squeeze of sriracha.

- 3/4 c. brown sugar
BAKED HAM RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Return to moderate oven, 375 degrees, for final half hour.
